Job Description
Digital Broadcast (DBi) is looking for an experienced Field and Installation Engineer with
excellent troubleshooting skills, strong client communication abilities, and the capacity to
convey technical concepts in an accessible way. This role is ideal for a seasoned
professional with expertise in solutions architecture, technical training, and system
commissioning. You will travel to client sites to install, configure, troubleshoot, and
maintain systems, ensuring a seamless experience from setup to operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Solutions Architecture: Design and implement broadcast, AV, and IT systems
tailored to client needs, integrating servers, AV devices, and signal management
equipment.
• System Installation & Commissioning: Lead system commissioning, including
setup, calibration, and testing to ensure optimal functionality and client
satisfaction.
• Server Assembly & IT Support: Assemble, configure, and troubleshoot servers,
providing secondary support for network integration.
• On-Site Field Support: Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to perform
diagnostics and repairs at client sites, minimizing downtime and optimizing
performance.
• Workflow Automation & Testing: Implement and test workflow automation to
ensure consistent, reliable system operation.
• Documentation & Technical Training: Document installation processes, provide
end-users with accessible technical training, and offer post-installation support as
needed.
• Travel: Regular travel is required, with flexibility for extended stays when necessary.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in broadcast, AV, or IT installation, configuration,
and support, including experience in solutions architecture and system
commissioning.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in troubleshooting, server assembly, networking, AV integration,
and system optimization.
o Knowledgeable in signal management, AV conferencing, broadcast
technology, and workflow automation.
o Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical
information for clients. • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
and build positive client relationships.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
• Additional Skills: Exceptional documentation abilities and a dedication to
maintaining high standards in all installations.
