We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Web Content Manager in the District of Columbia. In this role, you will oversee the content management and design of multiple websites in line with our communications priorities. You will be responsible for ensuring our websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aid in promoting engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and continuous optimization of various websites, addressing any real-time issues as they arise.
• Design copy layouts, landing pages, interactive visuals, and other digital assets within our branding guidelines and style guides.
• Uphold web standards and UX best practices to improve our website's performance.
• Regularly update and improve the Content Management System (CMS) and provide training to staff as needed.
• Work collaboratively to establish short-term and long-term visions and strategies for website enhancements.
• Manage the organization and maintenance of site sections and folders across all websites to ensure an orderly system.
• Coordinate with cross-divisional colleagues to manage content and postings on the website.
• Create digital assets to support communication priorities and build out event and program pages on the website in line with marketing plans.
• Monitor web content for currency, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with division and organization-wide priorities.
• Stay abreast of the latest digital marketing trends and tools.
• Provide regular Google Analytics reporting for the websites to guide digital strategy optimization.
• Make budget recommendations related to website and digital communications.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and web content calendars.• Proven experience in handling a Content Management System (CMS)
• Proficiency in using Sitefinity and Sitefinity CMS is essential
• Solid understanding and experience with HTML
• Demonstrable skills in CSS
• Experience in managing web content effectively
• Ability to maintain and update website content regularly using CMS tools
• Capable of troubleshooting issues related to Sitefinity CMS
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS for web design and maintenance
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
