ABOUT THE JOB:
Verve Event Co. is looking for candidates that are excited and enthusiastic about wedding and event planning, logistics, and marketing. This person will have an integral role in a fast-moving wedding and event planning business with a variety of clients and events. We want to grow our team with individuals that are excited to learn about the client and event management process, from the planning and logistics, to the design, and the execution. Individuals with a love of entertaining, a strong need for organization, and who possess meticulous attention to detail are encouraged to apply!

Verve Event Co. is a premier wedding and event planning company based in Rochester, NY. We serve couples getting married in Upstate New York and around the country that want to plan an heirloom occasion for their guests. Together with our clients, we create an experience full of sophisticated and sentimental touches that becomes part of the legacy our clients leave to their family and friends.
This position will report directly to the company CEO in managing the entire life cycle of an event. Applicants with experience event planning, logistics and production, hospitality, and marketing are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications for this position:You are meticulously detail-oriented with a strong need for organizationYou are a self-starter able to work independently and take feedback and directionYou own your laptop or computer and have reliable access to WiFiYou are able to problem-solve, think critically, be friendly, and self-motivatedYou are proficient in Google Business Suite and MS ExcelYou have superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as proper email etiquetteYou are familiar with social media applications such as Instagram and TikTokYou have the ability to lift 40 lbs.You have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Preferred QualificationsExperience in hospitality or event planning industriesExperience using CanvaYou live in the Western or Central New York region and are able to travel
Responsibilities for this role include:Updating event planning documents, including timelines, schedules, budgets, and spreadsheetsResearching new wedding, event, and design trendsAbility to join bi-weekly meetings virtuallySupporting the event manager in the client management process using already existing tools and standard operating procedures
This position is a
PART-TIME
paid position with a 90-day paid trial period. The job requires a minimum of 15 hours per week and a maximum of 20-25 hours per week during the busy season. Pay is commensurate with job experience.
