UX Designer

The digital team for home insurance at Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a top-quality User Experience Designer. This is a growing team that needs user experience experts to help improve our website and digital marketing by focusing on user experience across our consumer, agent, and internal interfaces.

Responsible for performing a full range of tasks in the design and development of multimedia graphic design marketing materials (digital, print and video). The role is focused on creating user centered experiences that satisfy the needs of our digital consumers while driving the required business outcomes. This person will work on every aspect of the consumer journey from initial marketing touchpoints to the final purchase decision. They will conduct primary research through user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and web metrics in order to influence and determine the direction of these experiences. This person needs be able to inspire change and communicate a vision for the future of our customer experience and brand.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Planning, Conducting and Managing User Research/Testing Activities to deeply understand our customersLead mapping and ideation sessions with teams and stakeholdersEstablish research strategy and analyze current behaviors in order to better understand current and future experienceEducate on research findings and insights across teams through apply to the build out of the site experiencesCreate and implement a program of A/B tests to validate UX insights and strategies

Creating and building digital assets and experiences to fully satisfy our customers’ needsCreate digital assets that drive new business acquisition for home insurance while maintaining brand integrity and elevating brand equityBuild wireframes/prototypes for testing/research activitiesDesign interfaces and creative content for multiple digital channels

Manage Projects to ensure business goals are metManage multiple deadlines simultaneously and work well within a fast –paced environmentProvide oversight of all digital / creative projects for consistencyUse agile methods for delivery of new/improved experiences

Collaborate with stakeholders to generate buy inBe an advocate for customer centric experiences and always look to learn something new and teach othersMentor other UX stakeholders and drive a culture of exceptional customer experiencesPartner with Developers, Product Managers, Analysts and other corporate stakeholders to prioritize opportunitiesCommunicate design intent with your team and other stakeholders to meet desired business outcomes

Decision Authorities:Making recommendations and final decisions to stakeholders based on findings of the research and analysis conducted on users’ needs and behaviors.Prioritizing and re-prioritizing work deliverables and projects for based on changing business needs.Manage project budgets and timelines

Qualifications and Education:3-5 years of experience working as a UX DesignerHas proficiency with Adobe XD (or other prototyping tools), Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesignCan accept critique of their work, as well as provide itVisually communicate their ideasCan embrace ambiguity and lean on the process to find desirable solutionsHave familiarity with Design Thinking and Agile frameworksAre always looking to learn something new and teach othersHave a portfolio they can shareWork in a fast-paced environment with time sensitive projectsWork iteratively and collaboratively
