Job Description
LINK Media is looking for a Advertising Account Executive to help us sell advertising and sponsorships for print, digital, social media and events. We need someone with drive and determination to help us sell through our inventory and support the good work we're doing in the community. We're a startup, so everyone we hire is a critical member of the team, and must be willing to work quickly, accept that we don't have everything figured out, remain flexible, and above all else, understand that what we are creating is bigger than any one person, or personality.
Salary: $40,000-$50,000 a year, plus commission. Anticipated first-year compensation is $60,000 - $75,000.
What We Expect from You:
- Sales. You will be making sales calls and holding sales meetings every single day.
- Networking in the community to meet new prospects and promote LINK nky
- Clear communication with our production and accounting staff to execute on sales closed
- Excellent, consultative customer service to keep our advertisers and sponsors happy
- Creative ideas for sponsorships and advertisers for our different content areas
- Don't be a jerk. We expect ethical and honest treatment of your team and our advertisers and sponsors.
Skills We Need You to Have:
- B2B sales experience or training
- Proposal creation experience
- Creativity
- Strong communication – written and oral – abilities
- No degree needed, but one in business or marketing wouldn't hurt
- Did we mention you shouldn't be a jerk?
