Responsibilities:

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated attorney to join our legal team. You will work primarily with AMDs marketing teams and be responsible for providing legal support in the development of marketing campaigns and collateral.

You are a creative problem-solver who makes sound judgements and recommendations but also understands when it is appropriate to escalate issues. You are a team player with a good sense of humor. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you have the ability to work with clients at all levels to achieve a common goal while taking into consideration both legal and business issues. You have a desire to support innovative marketing initiatives and enjoy learning about cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, you are adept at thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments and successfully managing multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-publication reviews of marketing/advertising/PR content and packaging for compliance issues.
  • Work on sponsorships, contests and sweepstakes, user-generated content, content production, and development.
  • Provide occasional on-site support at tradeshows, launch events, Financial Analyst Days, sales conferences, and other similar industry/company events.
  • Counsel and train clients on advertising law compliance, policy, and process, as well as on topics such as the use of AI in marketing, native advertising, testimonials and endorsements, claim substantiation, and digital and print disclosures.
  • Advise on trademark and copyright matters and work on license agreements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as a practicing attorney, with both law firm and in-house experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing legal risk and compliance of materials and issues that deal with influencer marketing, social media platforms, packaging, misleading claims and claims substantiation, copyright infringement, use of AI in marketing, and ancillary matters.
  • Experience in the computing or semiconductor industry is a plus.

Academic Credentials

  • JD degree and admission to practice law in a U.S. state.

Qualifications:

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
