The ideal candidate will work with diverse clients, from entrepreneurial start-ups to major brands and international retailers. This role requires expertise in providing legal counseling on advertising and marketing practices and litigation and investigations experience.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal counseling on various advertising and marketing practices to clients.Review advertising copy to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Counsel clients on sweepstakes, promotions, and marketing campaigns to ensure legal compliance.Represent clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), state consumer protection agencies, and the National Advertising Division.Manage consumer class actions and other litigation matters related to advertising and marketing.Advise on compliance with FTC rules and regulations, including pricing, telemarketing, autorenewal, and email marketing laws.Draft and negotiate advertising agreements and other related contracts.Conduct internal investigations and audits to identify and mitigate legal risks in advertising and marketing practices.Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments to provide holistic legal advice and solutions.Stay current with changes in laws and regulations related to advertising, marketing, and consumer protection.Qualifications:Experience: 2-5 years of experience in advertising and marketing compliance and litigation.Legal Practice: Experience practicing before the FTC, state consumer protection agencies, the National Advertising Division, and managing consumer class actions is preferred.Skills: Strong knowledge of FTC rules and regulations, pricing laws, telemarketing laws, autorenewal laws, and email marketing laws.Proficient in reviewing advertising copy and providing counsel on sweepstakes and promotions.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously with high attention to detail.Education: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.Certification: Admission to and good standing with the Washington, DC Bar.Location: Washington, DCCompany info:BCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone: (202) 955-5585Fax: (213) 895-7306#J-18808-Ljbffr
