ANCHOR PACKAGING is a growing manufacturer of disposable food service packaging located in Northeastern Arkansas is looking for experienced INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHS. Anchor Packaging operates 4 locations in NE Arkansas. The NE Arkansas area offers a wide variety of activities to residents in a medium-size college community as well as in a communities which are more rural, all are within a short drive of large metro areas. The area communities have excellent schools, affordable housing, and exceptional healthcare. ANCHOR PACKAGING has experienced tremendous growth since the early 60’s with no lay-offs or cut-backs. We offer 2 days shift and 2 night shifts.

PURPOSE

To install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Must possess the ability to visually inspect and test machinery or equipment, diagnose electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs needed to safely install and/or return production equipment to acceptable operating condition.

2. Dismantles defective machinery and equipment. Correctly installs reconditioned, new, or repaired parts.

3. Must be able to carry out planned maintenance activities such as but not limited to cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery or plant equipment as well as installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, electrical, and electronic components.

4. Plans out and installs plumbing assemblies to maintain pipe systems, related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, repairs or replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

5. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

6. Must have a working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in order to properly troubleshoot plant machinery and equipment.

7. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

8. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

9. Require some basic carpentry skills such as but not limited to fabricating or repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures as well as some masonry skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree from two year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also, the ability to calculate basic functions of geometry such as finding area, volume, and perimeter.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Incumbent needs a basic understanding of computers including, but not limited to, Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to search the internet for information.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Industrial Maintenance Certification or equivalent job experience.
