The Art Director works in conjunction with the Executive Creative Director, and will play a crucial role in conceptualizing and executing strong designs that effectively communicate our clients' brand messages across various media platforms. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to deliver exceptional results within strict deadlines.
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions
Works closely with ECD to bring creative team’s visual concepts to life through design and typography skills
Creates mood boards, comps and final artwork for client work, new business pitches and various other projects
Designs and executes across all media including presentations, key visuals, print, outdoor, lockups, logos, social and display
Maintains brand consistency and upholding design standards throughout all projects
Builds detailed mechanicals for print, OOH and collateral to KTC quality standards
Prepares final digital files and proofs to be sent to printer and publications
Organizes and archives files on studio server per studio guidelines
Prioritizes workflow effectively; accurately fills out timesheet by appropriate client job number
Remain current on the latest trends, consumer preferences, and best practices in the industry
Stay on top of the latest technological advancements, including design software, digital tools, and platforms, to enhance creative processes and deliver innovative solutions
Remain informed about current pop culture and social media trends in order to infuse culturally relevant elements into briefs and campaigns.
Required Skills
Deep knowledge/experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) + proficiency in Google Suite (Slides, Docs, etc.) is required
Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
Solid concepting and knowledge of the graphic design landscape. Must be able to use/understand appropriate terminologies and language to accurately convey changes or direction in concept or design
Ability to collaborate with other departments within the agency to solve problems
Consistent demonstration of sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, initiative and follow through skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience
A bachelor's degree, design or advertising emphasis is preferred
Strong creative and conceptual portfolio that demonstrates versatility
3-5 years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record (animation is a plus)
Advertising agency experience is preferred
Excellent written and presentation skills
Excellent grasp of design and layout fundamentals
Able to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
