The Musco Marketing Team is seeking a Production Artist Intern to work from our Oskaloosa campus during the Summer of 2025. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience assisting in producing technical documents which could include creating technical illustrations, updating brochures, and supporting literature. What you will do as a Production Artist Intern (paid internship for Summer of 2025)

  • Develop images and assist with the design and layout of technical documents and photo pages. Designs may integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative, video, and graphic elements.
  • Work closely with graphic designers to ensure consistency of Musco’s identity through advertisements, direct mail, presentations, brochures, and websites.
  • Coordinate design elements from concept to final production. Communicate and build relationships with vendors to produce materials in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Evaluate sales tools to ensure a consistent message and standard of quality.
  • Keep current on graphic trends and technologies through trade publications and educational training opportunities.
  • Experiment with new tools/technology and evaluate effectiveness.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or other related study. Or two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Must remain flexible and enjoy working in a constantly changing team environment.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Maintain proficiency in software applications such as Sway, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Inventor. Experience in video editing would be helpful.
  • Strong design/illustration ability and ability to develop expertise in developing and producing sales tools, including knowledge of pre-press / printing process.
  • Aptitude to simplify technical issues into clear, concise, and accurate visual illustrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and complete multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to make decisions that support Musco’s mission and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.

*This is a Musco Sports Lighting internship. However, you will be hired through a temp agency.
