Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Manager, Audience Growth and Insights works across the Integrated Communications team to identify and share timely information about how audiences are interacting with IFT’s outreach efforts with an eye toward customer and member growth. This role is responsible for analyzing data, developing insights based on that data, and regularly sharing updates with the team and other key partners within IFT. The Manager will share data-driven insights to help the team refine and improve channel strategies and implementation, develop meaningful content and adjust accordingly. This role will also provide insights and inputs to other key stakeholders within IFT to aid in creating programs and out-reach that is the most impactful to grow IFT’s base of customers, members and key stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
• Develops a deep understanding of IFT key audiences by establishing efficient and effective data collection strategies
• Partners with Integrated Communications team members to establish and implement audience, member and customer growth initiatives
• Works in close collaboration with all Integrated Communications team members, as well as others across IFT including the Strategy, Membership and Sales teams, to inform work of the overall Integrated Communications team
• Uses analytics to identify and share meaningful insights that will shape and refine IFT’s content strategy for marketing, editorial, social media, etc.
• Uses analytics to identify and share meaningful insights that will inform IFT’s ongoing channels strategy and implementation
• Keeps a pulse on the latest trends in media consumption, social engagement, and consumer behaviors, leveraging these insights to help grow the IFT audience
• Develops and presents detailed reports to a range of stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategies
• Shares information with the team to allow them to champion the voice and perspective of IFT audiences, ensuring their preferences and interests guide content creation and distribution strategies
• Uses expertise in analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, HotJar, etc.), along with a working knowledge of content management systems to gather and analyze data
• Articulates complex insights into compelling narratives for various audiences
• Ensures compliance with industry and legal regulations and best practices, and adherence to company processes and procedures
Travel Required
• Occasional domestic travel is expected including the ability to attend occasional evening, weekend, and overnight meetings
Required Education and Experience
• 3+ years in audience research, media analytics, or a related role. A track record of applying insights to drive strategy is essential
• 3+ years of hands-on knowledge of and experience with data analytics systems behind a variety of channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, websites, etc.)
• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or related fields
