We are excited to welcome others with vision, passion, and talent to experience our unique corporate culture.DescriptionThe A/V Application Engineer will assist in managing simultaneous activities of multiple projects and engineering design of A/V integrated systems. He/she is the project interface with customer's technical representatives and will serve as project manager for A/V systems including conference rooms, auditoriums, training classrooms, multimedia facilities, video conferencing, and unified communications collaboration solutions.ResponsibilitiesVerify that proposed equipment and system design is competent and suitable for integration.Assist with researching and choosing commercial AV equipment that is appropriate for the application.Create required drawings and documentation. CAD experience is preferred.Verify drawings are correct and complete.Assist with assembly and testing of complex commercial AV systems in the prebuild facility.Assist with on-site installations and equipment delivery when needed.Work from ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and catwalks up to 30 feet.Skills and ExperiencePossess an understanding of the equipment, design principles, and systems employed in the A/V Solutions industry.Ability to work with tools and be familiar with construction practices and concepts.Ability to communicate in clear, concise, and logical terms, both orally and in written form, with clients, internal staff, and management is essential.Education/ExperienceMust be enrolled in an Associates degree (A.A.S.) program for Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.QualificationsLanguage AbilityAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math AbilityAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD; Microsoft Outlook.Special SkillsPossesses knowledge of audio/video control systems, video and audio teleconferencing, and installation practices.Certificates and LicensesPossesses an active valid driver’s license.
