About the Regional Broadcast Radio Engineer Opportunity:
Townsquare Media is looking for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to support our 74 market.
Responsibilities:
- Manage activities for a goal of 100% uptime of station on-air and streaming products
- Ensure compliance with all Company Engineering and Information Technology practices
- Interface with Senior Vice President, Technology and Senior Vice President of Engineering
- Studio design, planning, construction, and installation of all necessary equipment
- Studio facility relocation as necessary
- Interface with General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and company personnel
- Installation, maintenance, and support of Broadcast automation (Zetta/Nexgen) and Audio over IP systems (Wheatstone/Axia)
- Installation, maintenance, and support of Broadcast equipment including, but not limited to, transmitters, microwave analog and IP STLs, processors, codecs, or any other part of the air chain
- Studio phone system installation and support to include SIP and Telos VX
- Practical knowledge of AES67, PTP and timing standards
- Maintain and comply with EAS rules and regulations
- Personal computers, servers, printers, software, maintenance and updating
- Network systems installation, maintenance, and support. Both Unicast and Multicast networks
- Ability/Desire to travel to any or all markets for installations, upgrades, and support
- After hours and weekend work as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned and perform any ancillary duties, consistent with your position, that the Company may, in its sole and subjective discretion, require. Qualifications:
- Technical training school, or two to four years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- SBE or computer related certification helpful, but not necessary
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection)
- Use measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
