Content Management System Coordinator Job at Visit Orlando in Orlando

Responsible for implementing tactics and processes to drive conversions and increase online web traffic. Additional responsibilities include updates and maintenance of domestic and international versions of VisitOrlando.com. Secondary support for MagicalDining.com, OrlandoMeeting.com, the Visit Orlando app, and the placement of ads across Visit Orlando digital properties.
Major Areas of Accountability
CMS – drive execution of website requests across Marketing, Creative, Project Management, and Technology teams. (50%)
- Technical: General site maintenance and optimization
- Support for domestic & international (ES, PT, DE and FR) versions of VisitOrlando.com
- Support Meetings website
- Support Magical Dining website
- Support for resolving accessibility issues / WCAG compliance
- Generate, modify, and update pages with content and assets that are provided
- Support for reporting/documenting bugs/technical issues on our websites
- Partner with internal departments to help evaluate and solve CMS issues
- Marketing: ensure adherence to general branding and campaign-specific guidelines
- Provide support for Campaign Landing Pages
- Build ads in the Content Management System from provided copy and assets in support of the new website with incremental ad placements
Additional responsibilities (30%)
- Manage tasks in the Jira workflow tool
- Proactively manage assets due to expire across all Visit Orlando websites to avoid broken images.
- Provide support with updates to the Visit Orlando app.
Other (20%)
- Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando brand. Serves as Brand ambassador.
- Provide insight and critical thinking to add value to projects and initiatives as needed.
- Communicate any changes or content needs to members; source additional assets as needed.
- Guarantees own work area is maintained safely and cleanly.
- Performs other functions and projects that align with the areas of responsibility described above.
- Support all Visit Orlando websites and digital assets as needed and directed.

Qualification Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university in a related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of 1-3 years of experience and/or training/education in a marketing environment.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Preference for bi-lingual candidates with superior verbal and written skills where primary fluency / bilingual proficiency is in Spanish.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Basic HTML/CSS
- Graphic design and word processing experience
- Intermediate or higher-level proficiencies in MS Outlook, Word and Excel Power Point
- Optional skills: Project Management, JavaScript.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
