Snowflake is seeking an exceptional Senior Design Manager to lead key design efforts across areas of Snowflake's UI Products. As a key member of the design leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in defining our design strategy, driving innovation, and championing a user-centric approach to product development. Drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, you will bring a wealth of experience in designing for a variety of product tools and crafting scalable design solutions. AS A SENIOR DESIGN MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Provide visionary leadership to your design team, setting clear goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, and inspiring team members to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
- Collaborate closely with with cross-functional partners in product management and engineering to define the product strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Lead by example in advocating for a user-centric approach to product design, leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Invest in the growth and development of your team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to help team members reach their full potential.
- Maintain rigorous standards of design quality and integrity, conducting regular design reviews, usability testing, and audits to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
- Build and manage a team of talented, diverse, inclusive team of product and content designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill sets
- Oversee multiple projects and scale design resources accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met, your team is effective, and team members are set up for success by setting clear and measurable goals
- 8+ years of relevant experience in software product design
- At least 4+ years of leadership experience managing design teams, including hiring and developing individual contributors with a proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop talent.
- Expertise in designing complex data-driven applications, with a strong understanding of user workflows and information architecture.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to a diverse set of stakeholders
- A passion for staying abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices, with a relentless drive for excellence and continuous improvement.
