What you’ll do
The Design Architect reports to the Director of Product Design and collaborates with other agile, cross-functional teams to craft consistent and successful end-user experiences.
In this role, you will lead the creation and maintenance of data-based solutions using industry best practices in conjunction with the Product, Data Science, and Technology departments.

Application of Expertise
Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for optimization and continue to scale the platform
Present proposed solutions internally and to clients to gather feedback and approval
Maintain design consistency and coherence across the iSeatz platform
Work strives for WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Lead the design vision for the iSeatz platform, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.
Mentor and guide a team of designers, setting standards for design quality and innovation.
Drive the creation and evolution of design systems and component libraries.
Collaboration with Internal and External Teams
Collaborate with product managers to review stories and functional requirements for new features and initiatives
Work in an agile environment partnering with product teams and frontend architects and developers to implement designs
Eagerness to travel to engage regularly with teams in a co-located space, approximately once per quarter
What you bring to the table

At least ten years of proven work experience in Product Design design across web and mobile applications, preferably with five or more focused on design systems
Master’s Degree or above, or equivalent experience in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, or related field
Proven track record of leading complex design projects and driving business impact.
Strong background in user research, accessibility, and design thinking methodologies.
Experience working within and building upon design systems
Skilled in designing mockups and creating prototypes using industry-standard design tools like Figma, Sketch, or comparable programs
Must present a portfolio of industry examples illustrating step-by-step solutions to project requirements
Experience driving design decisions for e-commerce solutions
Experience working iteratively in cross-functional, agile environments alongside a geographically diverse team

Ability to readily admit to mistakes and quickly learn from them to make the product better
Ability to solve problems quickly by identifying root causes
Self-motivated, eager to seek out problems and establish long-term solutions
Understanding that user experience is key above all else, and is best served by partnering with others

Location
This role is remote-first and can be located anywhere inside the continental United States. iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours, but feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer!
