Content Editor Position: Full-Time Location: This position offers remote work from Los Angeles, New York, or Denver. OVERVIEW Movement Strategy is seeking a Content Editor who regularly communes with the grammar gods, has an eagle eye for detail, and rivals any detective with their fact-checking skills. Bonus points if you love fashion and all things home goods. Your mission (if you choose to accept) is to oversee our interior design and fashion accounts. You will report to the (Associate Director, Content & Engagement, or the Sr. Content & Engagement Manager), and work closely with fellow Content Editors, Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Engagement Managers. KEY FOCUS AREAS Review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistency, style, and overall quality for Amazon Home and Fashion clients and projects throughout the development and review process Collaborate with the Creative team to develop, refine, and enhance ideas, ensuring they are all aligned with the strategic alignment of the brand's tone, style, and messaging Ensure the accuracy of the brand's tone and style guidelines Maintain documentation for brand and project style guidance Support the Creative team with fact-checking, and editing resources during digital asset development. Collaborate with the Creative and Project Management team to develop and maintain the review process Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their writing skills and adhere to editorial guidelines Maintain a high standard of quality for all content, ensuring it meets the client's objectives and resonates with the target audience Support accurate implementation of review comments by editing, fact-checking, and proofreading all digital assets Evaluate content submissions for potential legal, ethical, or policy concerns and make necessary reviews Support the creative and project management team during the development, regulatory, and review process Maintain style guidance and regulatory language for all brands and projects Establish and maintain processes and materials that support accurate project development and regulatory review QUALIFICATIONS KEY FOCUS AREAS 3 to 5 years' editorial experience, with entertainment/brand clients, agency setting preferred Experienced in fact-checking data and information related to a client's specific brand Exceptional editorial ability; you must be able to not only edit content for grammar/punctuation/spelling, but also for overall style, tone, and formatting Excellent research, proofreading, and fact-checking skills Strong grasp of the social media marketing space; experience working with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter) and Facebook Basic understanding of graphic design principles and editing techniques Ability to collaborate and communicate well with a team Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Ability to handle multiple projects and client editorial styles simultaneously Bachelor's degree Confidence with home goods, fashion, and entertainment subject matters Fluency in APA, MLA, and Chicago style guides Dedication and high standards IDEAL QUALITIES High-energy, passionate, curious, confident, and tenacious in learning, coupled with the ability to navigate the nuances of different client teams. The range listed is just one component of Movement Strategy's total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, years of relevant experience, qualifications, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
