About the Role As the Head of Communications and Public Policy at HeyGen, you will lead our efforts to shape and communicate our narrative to a diverse array of stakeholders including media, investors, policymakers, and shareholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of both corporate communications and public policy. You will be responsible for setting the overarching communication goals and managing our public presence, ensuring that our messaging aligns with our corporate objectives and enhances our market position. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and public policy strategy that sets the overarching narrative and goals for the company. Lead all interactions and engagements with media, investors, policymakers, and shareholders to promote and defend the company’s interests. Manage agency resources effectively, ensuring a strategic balance between proactive communications (offense) and reactive messaging (defense). Oversee the creation of press releases, white papers, and position statements, ensuring they align with strategic objectives. Coordinate with the executive leadership team to craft key messages for public dissemination that reflect HeyGen’s mission and values. Qualifications: At least 8 years of experience in a leadership role within communications or public policy, preferably in the technology or AI industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and shaping public policy. Strong understanding of media operations and experience in managing high-level interactions with journalists, investors, and government officials. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of audiences. Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in issues management and public affairs.
