The salary range for this position is $164,000 - $205,000 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Total Rewards offerings also include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental and vision insurance, flex paid time off program, parental leave, employee discount/perks, a retirement plan with employer contributions, Summer Fridays, opportunity to work from anywhere for two weeks in the summer and July and December wellness/shutdown weeks for applicable positions.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Creative Director who specializes in Packaging Design. This person will be responsible for creating outstanding packaging designs for Fenty and other brands that surprise and delight and evolve brand codes over time. This leader will have equal responsibility in creating designs and guiding / inspiring the team. They will partner with packaging development, production, and brand teams to bring ideas to life – owning the graphical and visual execution of products and collaborating on structures, colors and other initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands our consumers, industry trends, and knows how to create forward-thinking designs for ultimate product success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the packaging design vision for all projects and ensure cohesion and consistency as needed
Create original designs and concepts that speak to our client
Deliver amazing (sell-out, award winning) holiday and limited-edition collections
Develop and maintain consistent product and packaging codes across core products, line extensions, seasonal campaigns and promotions (style guides)
Partner closely with product development and packaging teams to achieve the highest level of quality for each project - understanding limitations due to timing, costs, etc.
Present designs to cross-functional partners
Meet the deadlines of many projects running in parallel in a fast-paced environment while adhering to review and approval processes
Comfortable implementing feedback in a timely fashion
Demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship of team - project positivity, model collaborative behavior and develop the team to elevate and deliver results
Build and cultivate ongoing design resources via full time and freelance talent
Ideate designs/product ideas beyond what is briefed
REQUIREMENTS
Multi-disciplinary designer with 10+ years of overall experience in the beauty, fashion or consumer products, packaging design experience required
7-10 years managing creative teams
Extraordinary collaborative and leadership skills, team-player
Detail oriented leader, comfortable shifting directions, work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and creative resolution skills
Ability to quickly generate concepts and visually communicate those ideas with renderings and/or comps
Excellent eye for color and typography
Strong organizational skills
Strong presentation, oral and written communications skills with professional demeanor
Passion for beauty with a sense of both current and developing trends in print/pattern, art, and packaging
BA or BFA in Design, Arts, and/or Graphic Design
Advanced/Expert Apple computer skills in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, with a specialty within Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
