Position Summary
Basic Function: Join Michigan State University Advancement as a Digital Marketing Specialist and play a vital role in shaping our digital presence! You'll produce timely, relevant, and compelling content that not only aligns with the MSU brand but also highlights the impact of philanthropy and community engagement. As a key member of our dynamic digital marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to innovate through email marketing, manage web content, and enhance our SEO efforts. Your creativity will shine as you develop digital assets across various channels and analyze performance metrics to drive our strategic goals forward. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, the digital marketing specialist has hands-on experience in digital content production and data-informed marketing. Responsibilities will include:

Web content production/coordination:
Paid social media content procurement:
Analysis and reporting:
Content strategy:
System/process management:
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Journalism, Telecommunications, or Public Relations; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services; graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or computer programming/technology; experience managing content for social media channels; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel required; Must have a valid driver's license. Hybrid role based in Michigan.
