POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising, implementing, and administering corporate image and property identity programs as they relate to advertising, social media, and perception through editorial, media, and community efforts. This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing promotional activities to ensure that programs and services are consistent with the company's marketing goals.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)Work with graphic designers on design projects in both a creative, organized, and proofreading capacity for marketing collateral, signage, advertising, etc.Work with web agency and supervise the updating of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City website on a consistent and timely basis.Work with the Marketing leadership on execution of social media strategies via various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, lnstagram, and Linkedln.Build and sustain professional relationships with external vendors.Assists in the interpretation, development, and supervision of internal communications to ensure that information is consistent with the efforts to promote Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City's image.Respond to customer reviews on social platforms daily and route feedback for guest recovery or comments to appropriate departments for follow up.Provide feedback to the Marketing Manager on the effectiveness of promotional programs.Oversees operation of promotions to ensure successful execution of programs.Establishes and maintains working relationship with other departments to secure cooperation for assistance with promotions.Effectively communicates all promotions to the property teams, which includes the creation and distribution of guidelines, reference materials, and promotional schedules.Work directly with the Marketing Manager to collect and submit all necessary promotions paperwork for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC)Provide outstanding customer service to guests.Entry of data from monthly mailers and other promotional programsEntry of promotional builds using software for promotional kiosks and player tracking systemHandle guest inquiries related to direct mail in a pleasant and professional manner.Follow and complete a quality control check list for all direct mail projects, casino promotions and all other marketing collateral and signage.Verify counts by segment and validate offers to matrix.Redemptions of offers as needed.Monitor competitor's promotions and events and prepare monthly reports for Marketing Manager, Directors, and General Manager.Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must have ability to:
Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookEffectively communicate with all levels of team members as well as outside contacts.Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.Maintain a positive image for the company.Experience in planning and hosting on-site and off-site events.Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.Ability to lift 25-50 pounds. Familiarity with operating an electric pallet jack is a plus.Effectively and efficiently move around work area. Confident and self-aware. Can admit to mistakes and learn from them.Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of marketing promotional concepts required.Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.Ability to multi-task and stay well organized.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
