Technical Writer to support laboratory testing to military standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-1399.
Responsibilities
Gather data packages and information from subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop, organize, edit, and write technical and procedural documentationDraft and/or edit test plans and technical data reports using developed and mature templatesCollaborate with E3 lab director, SMEs, and customers to verify data and make documentation changes as necessaryDraft test execution procedures with input from SMEsIf local, no travel required. If remote, 5-10% travel to laboratory for updates and familiarizationIf working off site, access to necessary information technology (IT) assets such as internetComplete yearly training as directed for general employment
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Associate degree preferred but High School Diploma or GED acceptable with additional experienceOne (1) year with degree or three (3) years with HS/GED of experience revising or writing standardized material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods, procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment.Proficiency with document drafting tools and technologies including Microsoft Office (to include Visio) and Adobe productsAbility to obtain, possess and maintain a SECRETAbility to access secure DoD data transmission sitesMust be a US citizen

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.56 - $35.94. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
