The Social Media Specialist executes strategies across social media channels to increase Clayton's online presence, brand awareness and generate customer engagement. The Social Media Specialist works with various business units, providing project support and training/guidance. This team member assists the Social Media Strategists with community management, social media content creation and reporting.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner for smaller accounts and/or less complex inquiriesEscalate more complex comments and customer inquiries to Social Media Strategist or SupervisorIdentify inappropriate content and follow protocols for reporting/removingSupport social listening efforts to identify risks and opportunitiesImpact community growth and engagement across all channelsSupport social media team in marketing campaigns as directedProvide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts in line with brand standards and corporate social media practices for designated accountsWork closely with the social team to develop engaging content for social media channelsIdentify creative, engaging new content opportunities to share with teamDevelop and execute travel itineraries once per month; travel to various company locations for the purpose of capturing video assets to be used across social channelsWork closely with photography and social responsibility teams to identify opportunities to capture philanthropic efforts and customer storiesMust be flexible and willing to accommodate short notice travel expectationsSubmit and manage travel expenses and expense reportsStay up-to-date on social media platforms, trends opportunities, changes to the platforms, and best practices.Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or Communications degree preferred0-3 years of related experience; 1+ years related experience preferredSprout Social Certification preferredWorks well in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with changing prioritiesEnhanced verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of social media platforms, including best practices, navigation and nuancesKnowledge of basic marketing principlesAbility to multitask and meet deadlinesInterpersonal skills with ability to be solutions-orientedSelf-starter with strong desire to learnAbility to work within company brand standards and follow company content style guidesMust be reliable and adaptive to changeDisplays innovative and creative expressionStays up to date on social trends
