The Strategic Advertising & Operations Managerwill be instrumental on the Business Development in driving our future partner's advertising and marketing efforts with Smith Entertainment Group, home to the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club. This role is designed for a seasoned advertising professional who will spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge advertising strategies to enhance sales and forge new corporate and premium partnerships. You will leverage your advertising expertise to lead initiatives that align with our business objectives and amplify our partner's brand presence. Your role will generate leads, conduct in-depth partner research and analytics, and craft innovative marketing strategies for potential clients. You'll be at the forefront of asset creation, pitch development, and storytelling, ensuring our advertising efforts resonate and drive significant business outcomes for partners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with department leadership to design and implement strategic initiatives, enhancing integration between Business Development, Corporate Partnership, Marketing, Community Relations, and Youth teams throughout the partnership sales cycle.
  • Lead in-depth client research efforts to gather critical data and industry insights to support the pitch development process.
  • Manage the development of marketing assets, including innovative advertising content and creative collateral, maintaining a dynamic repository of global sports marketing examples and new ideas.
  • Drive the creation of innovative partnership marketing concepts, leveraging your advertising experience to design and implement fresh ideas that meet client and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and oversee targeted advertising campaigns specifically designed to attract and engage potential corporate partners, using data-driven insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Guide the team in building high-impact partnership deals by curating creative advertising campaigns that align the Utah Jazz, Utah Hockey Club, and the client's brand personality and partnership objectives.
  • Direct team members in monitoring and advancing partnership deals by refining progress reports and deal timelines.
  • Collaborate with the revenue analytics team to embed industry-specific analytics and advertising trends into solution development and pitch strategies.
  • Develop and execute engaging sales events and campaigns, integrating cutting-edge advertising strategies to enhance the Business Development team's efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising, with a proven track record in brand marketing and integrated partnerships.
  • Experience in managing and executing high-impact marketing campaigns and partnership strategies.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours as required by sports and entertainment events, including extended days, holidays, and weekends.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Google Workspace.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.

  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
