Sway Creative Labs (https://www.madebysway.com) is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Art Director to join our team. In this role, you’ll marry creativity with leadership, having an immediate impact on not only Sway’s creative output, but our collective trajectory as well.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in digital and print design, preferably in an agency setting
- Proficiency in digital design platforms, specifically Figma
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Superior conceptual chops to bring not just a design eye to projects, but a sharp mind to solutions
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience on set and with broadcast / video art direction is certainly a nice-to-have
- Experience with animation / keyframe design to provide guidance to animators and developers on motion graphic intentions and amplifications is also a nice-to-hive
Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the creative team to develop and execute digital and print designs that align with our clients' brand guidelines and project objectives
- Design and create visually compelling digital assets such as website designs, display ads, social media graphics, and email campaigns
- Create engaging print materials including brochures, direct mail, and print ads
- Participate and lead brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and concepts
- Help maintain the agency's design standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency across all digital and print projects
- Stay current with emerging design trends and technologies to ensure our work remains fresh and innovative
- Collaborate with the account and project management teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Engage on set in ensuring a compelling aesthetic, visual continuity, and problem solving to aid crew and talent to producing the best product
- Design stand alone animated pieces and those meant to compliment web experiences with style, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of what animators and developers will need to bring these assets to life

Benefits:
- Remote Work Affordance. For the duration of your employment at Sway, except in instances of occasional and pre-scheduled in-person meetings, and wherein your attendance is needed on set, this role will be 100% remote
- 15 Paid Vacation Days. Days reset at your start date and do not roll over. You’ll have the ability to withdraw a negative balance of up to 5 days, and you begin the year with your days already afforded
- 17 Paid Holidays. Your Birthday, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Monday after the Super Bowl, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day
- Two-Hour Windows. So long as the privilege is not abused, we offer each employee 2-hour leave windows at the beginning (9am - 11am EST) and end of the workday (3pm - 5pm) to tend to any appointments like unexpected child care challenges, doctor’s visits, home maintenance, etc. that do not count against your allotted paid time off
- Health Plan. All employees are eligible to enroll in one of (3) Group Optima Health Plans; with Sway covering 80% of employee’s cost and 50% of your dependents
- Dental Insurance. Sway pays 100% of employee’s United Concordia Dental Plan
- Yearly bonuses. Unless otherwise stated, you will be eligible to receive a year-end bonus based on your performance, to be determined in Sway’s full discretion. Payment of bonuses is on the second paycheck of November each year. Additional bonuses may be awarded throughout the year based on your own (including your efforts in generating new business via your own relationships) and the company’s performance, to be determined at Sway’s discretion
- Retirement Benefits. Sway’s 401K policy offers a solid foundation for your retirement planning; we match your contributions at a 1:1 rate for the first 3% of your pay, and then add an extra $0.50 for each dollar you contribute on the following 2% of your pay
