WHAT YOU WILL DO:Six Flags Fiesta Texas is looking for an organized and dedicated individual to join the Entertainment Technical Services Team as an Audio Technician. As an Entertainment Audio Technician you will be responsible for installation, sound checks, maintenance of audio systems, troubleshooting, and running assigned audio tracks for stage productions and special events. You will also assist with load in and load out of show product, assist with parade duties and assist with other technical services projects as assigned. This individual will work closely with the audio team as well as our technical services team and entertainment production staff to ensure the smooth and safe installation of entertainment product and ensure the daily operation of the assigned shows and special projects.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT:
Perform daily operational duties to assist the department in the run assigned show tracks
Install, operate and maintain all entertainment audio equipment park wide
Perform daily inspections of all audio systems
Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest experience
Assist the technical services team in daily operational duties including, load ins and load outs, system maintenance and other projects as assigned
Communicate with the stage management and production management team on any issues or safety concerns or issues.
Operate various vehicles, tools and equipment as assigned
Adheres to safe work practices and policies that further the safety culture of the department and park
Must be available for all scheduled technical rehearsals
Must be available for extended work calls during specific times of the year
WHAT YOU NEED:
Must be at least 18 years old
HS diploma, Theater Education (BA) or (BFA) or equivalent experience preferred
Previous experience in the Entertainment/Theme Park Industry preferred
Previous experience in audio system install, operation and maintenance for both live band and tracked band shows with live vocals
Strong motivated team player with a strong ability to multi-task
Strong verbal, written communication skills
Must be able to work on projects independently and in group settings
Ability to work a variety of hours or shift, including weekends and evenings
Willingness to cross train for other operational departments and assist during specific key periods
Ensure compliance w/ standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Valid drivers license to operate company vehicles, PIT equipment and parade floats
Proficient expertise with the Yamaha M7, Yamaha LS9 16, Bahringer X32, and Avid Venue SC48 audio consoles in programming and operation preferred
Proficient experience with Digital Performer 8, Pro Tools 12 and QLab for both playback and live recording on a daily basis preferred
Extensive background in audio including signal flow, crossover, input and outputs and stage monitors preferred
A strong understanding of MIDI and SMPTE timecode preferred
OTHER NOTES:
May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole
Reports to the Entertainment Supervisor and Technical Production Supervisor
