Position Overview:
The Lane College Mass Communication Department is seeking a Mass Communication faculty member specializing in Digital Media & Production with ability to teach in a range of courses within field areas such as television and audio production, broadcast writing, photography, and digital media. Additional teaching may include courses as needed by the department and applicable to the candidate's specialty area.

Responsibilities:
- Academic advising
- Program development
- Participation/services in departmental, divisional, and institutional activities
Qualifications
MFA in Communication. Doctorate preferred.
Two years of teaching experience.
- The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Blackboard Ultra, Premiere, Avid Pro Tools and Final Cut Pro X editing software and the ability to utilize innovative modalities for delivering course content.
- The ability to design lessons that teach curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and individual or collaborative projects and research.
- Experience in video editing with Premier, composite, 2D, animation and motion graphics with After Effects and sound design with Adobe Audition.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to teach Premiere, Avid Pro Tools and Final Cut Pro X editing software. Experience in film production. Experience with production and post-production sound are a plus.
