The Crew Chief takes a pivotal role in directing, coordinating, and executing essential tasks within restoration projects, ensuring the seamless fulfillment of service requirements and cultivating an exceptional customer experience. Serving as the frontline ambassador for the SERVPRO brand, the Crew Chief embodies the company's unwavering commitment to being 'Here to Help,' consistently showcasing dedication to customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction.
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills.
  • Basic technology proficiency (email, software, iPad/PC).
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record preferred.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain quality control.
  • Communicate clear expectations to production technicians.
  • Coordinate and perform production processes, ensuring timely and quality completion.
  • Identify safety hazards and enforce safe work practices.
  • Document detailed and accurate job files to support provided services.
  • Manage labor, consumable usage, and inventory efficiently.
  • Represent Alpha Team SP and the SERVPRO brand professionally.

Secondary Responsibilities:


  • Assist with on-the-job training for production technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with direct reports and office staff on project progress & daily activities.
  • Perform scheduled vehicle/equipment maintenance as directed.
  • Oversee facility and grounds maintenance, as assigned.
  • Continue personal development of production skills, industry knowledge, products, and equipment.
  • Undertake other tasks/duties as required by the employer.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set:


  • Strong supervisory and communication skills, oral and written.
  • General knowledge & efficient use of technology (email, basic software, iPad/PC).
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record preferred.

Formal Education/Training:


  • High school diploma/GED.
  • IICRC certifications desired but not required; training provided based on experience and industry requirements.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:


  • Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently, occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Walking and standing for long periods, driving, sitting, climbing ladders.
  • Working at ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics).
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, occasional exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment and job sites may be loud.
  • Necessary PPE provided for safety.

Working Hours and Travel Requirements:


  • Full-time position, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week if on hourly compensation.
  • Position frequently requires long hours, including some evening and weekend work based on a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Travel is required and is primarily local, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected during Storm events.
