Floral Design Manager

Reporting to the owner, the floral design manager will be responsible for selling and recommending flowers and plants to our customers for all occasions, creating and designing floral and plant arrangements using a variety of flowers, leaves and other accessories (per client specifications), ensuring that orders, pickups and deliveries are all handled timely and accurately, as well as maintaining the floral shop properly, and keeping it clean and tidy. In addition to your previous floral experience, you should be highly organized and detailed oriented.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Ordering flowers, plants, and other greenery for use.
Attending meetings with the customers and knowing their preferences if required.
Taking orders for various occasions and events via phone or in-person.
Explaining to the customer about the flowers and scents.
Creating beautiful and stunning bouquets and flower arrangements.
Cleaning and watering the flowers and foliages. Handling in-store customers, along with the other team members.
Noting down all the required details for delivery of floral arrangements such as delivery date, location, etc.
Maintaining inventory levels of floral accessories and restocking them as needed.
Maintaining a healthy relationship with vendors, wholesalers, Wedding Planner, and Event Planner.
Negotiating prices with wholesalers for bulk orders.
Preparing and maintaining records of floral deliveries, special orders, and payment information.
Keeping the flower shop clean and organized.
Attending floral workshops and participating in exhibitions.
Staying up updated with the latest trends in the floral industry.
Essential Qualifications
Working experience as a Floral Designer, Florist, or a similar position in the Hospitality industry.
A professional certificate from the American Institute of Floral Designers will be an advantage.
A valid driving license.
Ability to recommend and suggest floral designs based on the occasions.
A customer-oriented individual with problem-solving abilities.
Strong understanding of the use of color combinations while creating floral designs.
Demonstrate ability to innovative design with a limited budget. Exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction abilities. Ability to make last-minute adjustments and changes in the design. Amazing organizational skills. Ability to understand the client’s choices. Good communication skills. Exceptional decision-making skills.
