Litigate insurance coverage and bad faith actions in Washington and other jurisdictions as required.Manage all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, handling motion practice, conducting depositions, and engaging in discovery.Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to client needs and case circumstances.Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.Provide liability analysis and risk assessments to clients, guiding them through complex insurance coverage issues.Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, motions, and other legal documents.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality legal representation and compliance with client objectives.Requirements:
Minimum of four years of litigation experience, with at least two years focused on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.Strong background in managing complex litigation from inception to trial, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.Experience in both state and federal court proceedings.Ability to provide strategic counsel on breach of contract, bad faith, and other insurance-related disputes.Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client management and teamwork.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.Certifications:
An active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar.California Bar admission is a plus but not required.Skills:
Proficient in legal research and writing, with strong analytical abilities.Ability to handle complex litigation independently and as part of a team.Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations, especially in Washington State.Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment.This job listing is managed by a recruitment firm representing the hiring law firm.
