Our client, a digital marketing agency, is seeking a Digital Marketing Generalist who will support our strategists in implementing content and SEO strategies across multiple clients. This role is a mix of content creation, SEO management, and project execution, ideal for someone skilled in digital marketing fundamentals and passionate about using technology and AI to drive efficiency. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, curious, and proactive, able to independently research and implement best-in-class solutions to streamline and enhance our processes.

Work Environment: While a majority of this role can be done remotely, in-person collaboration with the CEO is required on a weekly basis to ensure alignment on strategic goals, discuss new initiatives, and drive innovation in our digital marketing processes. We are looking for someone local to the Salt Lake City area who values the flexibility of telecommuting but is excited to have hands-on interaction with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Local SEO and Organic Social Media Support

Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to align content strategies with market demand. Perform local SEO audits to identify local search rankings and recommend additional keyword opportunities. Use AI tools to draft SEO-friendly copy, social media captions, and blog content based on briefs provided by strategists. Manage social media content scheduling (Meta, Instagram, YouTube, Google Business Profile, TikTok as core channels) and oversee post-performance. Content Creation and Repurposing

Transform long-form video content transcripts into multiple formats (blog posts, social media, email marketing) in line with our "Recycle & Remix" strategy. Come up with ideas to repurpose client assets and past content, using AI tools to ensure tone and style consistency. Coordinate with video editors and other creatives to finalize and publish content. Project Management and Process Optimization

Use our client portal and project management tools to manage tasks, deadlines, and client deliverables efficiently. Regularly evaluate new tools and technologies that could enhance content production and improve scalability. Pull data from performance tracking tools and assist in summarizing key insights for both internal and client-facing reports. Client Communication and Reporting

Provide basic reporting on SEO, social media, and content performance metrics. Track and report on campaign performance, ensuring timely insights are shared with the team and clients. Required Skills & Experience

General Content Marketing Knowledge and Fundamentals:

Must have a solid understanding of content marketing fundamentals, including audiences, personas, primary and long-tail keywords, and best practices for SEO content (metadata, section headings, etc.) SEO & Social Media Proficiency:

Minimum of 2 years in SEO and social media management, with experience using SEO tools (ie. Ubersuggest, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.), and social media scheduling tools (ie. Sprout Social, Konstantino, etc.). AI and Automation Experience:

Familiarity with AI-powered tools for content creation (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper) and an understanding of integrating them into content workflows. Project Management Tools:

Experience with Notion, Slack, or similar tools for task and communication management. Analytical Skills:

Ability to interpret data and performance reports using tools like Google Analytics. Self-Starter:

Must be entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly organized. The ideal candidate will be able to research, problem-solve, and implement solutions independently. Preferred Qualifications

Agency Experience:

Experience working in a digital agency setting or with multiple clients. Content Writing Skills:

Experience in content creation across different formats, and basic understanding of how the production process differs across formats.. PPC Knowledge:

Basic understanding of PPC strategies and platforms like Google Ads and Facebook Ads. Experience Using AI for Content Creation:

Familiarity with AI tools and basic understanding of which models to leverage for different types of tasks (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai , Perplexity, etc.) to generate or enhance written content, including blogs, social media posts, and email copy. Copy Editing:

You MUST be able to refine AI-generated text to align with brand tone, style, and client objectives. Success Metrics:
