Job Summary:
Collaborates with the Vice President of Marketing on the strategic development, direction and implementation of all marketing activities, including but not limited to Marketing Administration, Entertainment, Database Marketing, Advertising, PR, Direct Mail, Hotel Sales, Social Media and Digital Advertising.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Yes, will supervise 3-4 managers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
In coordination with the Director of Casino Marketing, the incumbent directs the Marketing teams which include but are not limited to Advertising, Direct Mail, Entertainment, Digital Advertising, Social Media, Hotel Sales and Database Marketing/Data Analysis.Oversees Marketing projects and reinvestment to ensure accuracy and integrity of all offersThe Director of Marketing will establish a marketing plan, budget and report regularly on fiduciary matters to the Vice President of Marketing.Plans and Directs Market Research.Manages relationships with vendors, including but not limited to; advertising agencies, digital providers, media buyers/providers, sponsorships, print shops and direct mail vendors.Evaluates effectiveness of database marketing, special events, advertising and social media efforts and makes recommendations.Manages marketing guest services initiatives of all Marketing areasAnalyze financial results of Marketing programs and effectively manage marketing expenses to budget. Examine expense and revenue reports for area of responsibility and recommend actions to be taken.Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.Utilizes research, analysis and development of new systems for revenue growth throughout the casino environment.Researches competitor's usage of technology, as well as new technologies that may be of interest to the casino.Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp MatrixAssists the Vice President in the creation, implementation and management of an effective marketing plan for the property, working with the Executive Team to determine current and future objectivesParticipates in budget development, monitors marketing and event costs, and ensures budgetary complianceOversees the development and implementation of all promotions and events.Takes all steps necessary to ensure the financial and reputational success of promotions and special eventsGuides and ensures proper implementation of all new marketing strategies to ensure that they are successful while providing a high level of return on investmentAbility to work with minimal supervision, be detail and result-oriented, maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity, and have excellent time management skills.Maintains confidentiality of customer information.Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and marketing analysis reports.Work closely with related departments to manage and utilize the customer databases to consistently yield the most profitable mix of business.Serve as a leader for Team Members while fostering teamwork, positive morale, motivation and open communications.Contributes to department's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and goals that must be addressed; providing information and recommending options and courses of actions; implementing directives, ability to create and make presentations both written and oral.Perform other job-related duties as requested.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
College degree or other work or educational equivalent required3-5 years of relevant experience working in casino marketing preferably in a manager or above capacityCertifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and casino management systemsHigh level analytical skills required to identify and validate opportunitiesAbility to create and work within a budgetExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.Ability to be a TEAM playerMust be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner.Highly self-motivated with the ability to work effectively through others and interface persuasively with people throughout the organization including other departments and internal stakeholdersAbility to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment processAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingAbility to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.Physical Requirements:
