POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for improving online presence, engaging the community, and promoting local events and initiatives. This role enhances website content, social media, and email newsletters to ensure that messages reach and resonate with residents. The specialist will leverage their knowledge of digital communications and multimedia tools to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with departmental goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to promote municipal initiatives, events, and services.Create, schedule, and monitor social media posts across various platforms to engage with the community.Effectively promote community activities and special events by creating event campaigns with compelling graphics, posting to our website, social media, and engaging with external stakeholders.Engage in public outreach on event platforms, forums, and groups.Monitor and respond to online inquiries from the community.Create email marketing campaigns published through InDesign and Constant Contact.Generate monthly analytic reporting and presentations to submit for assessment and collaborate to increase reach, engagement, and accessibility.Collaborate with the communications team to create cohesive and impactful campaigns.Stay updated on marketing trends and tools to improve strategies and tactics continuously.Ensure compliance with City of Hutto branding guidelines and standards.Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
Two (2) years of related experience.
Valid Texas Driver License.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business or English is preferred
Two (2) years experience in website management
Bilingual (English/Spanish): The ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish.
Previous experience in event promotion is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position is primarily sedentary, requiring an individual to sit at a desk for long periods of time, working on a computer. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, walk, see, hear and work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. The role involves interacting with clients/customers and occasional indoor activities.
