Job Title- Procurement Policy Writer /AdministratorReq Id- 24-93457Duration: 06+ MonthsLocation: New York, NYOnsite Role
Summary of Position:The Client is seeking one temporary consultant to primarily assist the Policy and Procedure group in implementation and coordination updates of written policies and procedures for the Procurement department.
Dimensions of Position:This position is responsible to assist and direct staff in multi-Agency oversight ensuring policies and procedures capture and reflect a complete and accurate view of the legal and regulatory requirements as well as Client standards and all agency procurement guidelines. Secondarily the candidate may be asked to assist other departments under the Supply Chain Strategy on special projects for the Board Agenda, Cost/Price and Bid Solicitation.
Responsibilities:The primary role would be to assist the Client Procurement Policy and Procedure group.Management and assist in the Development and implementation of a framework for effective policy and procedure administration, to include Developing and promulgating new procurement policies and procedures as needed.Reviews, updates Sr. Staff on upcoming legislature proposed laws and regulations and the potential impact to Client.Identify improvements in process, documentation control and presentations.Secondary role includes assisting the Supply Chain Strategy group in special projects, including but not limited to Cost/Price, Business development, Policy and Procedure, Board Agenda and Bid Solicitation.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree, preferably in Pre-Law or Public Policy or Business, from an accredited college and minimum of 4 years in relevant full-time experience,Preferred Law DegreeExperience in legislative, contract law and statutory construction.Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.Proficiency with MS Word and ExcelStrong proficiency in business writingExperience updating and implementation of written policies and procedures.Experience in NYS Public Authority LawStrong analytical skillsExcellent documentation abilityExcellent communication interpersonal skillsExperience in Government Procurement practices.

Client Procurement Policy and ProceduresExcel database review and edit.Organize documents to maintain version control.Produce Status/Progress Reports
