Interior Design Assistant Job at Robert Half in Seattle

Robert Half is seeking a recent interior design graduate or entry level candidate for a design assistant role with a local interior design studio. This contract is a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced designers by supporting administrative tasks, presentations, client and vendor relations, procurement, and project management.

Title: Interior Design Assistant / Studio Assistant

Contract Type: Contract with Opportunity for Hire

Duration: 1-3 months, with possible extension or conversion

Schedule: M-F

Location: Hybrid, 1 day remote, 4 days onsite in North Seattle

Daily responsibilities include:

• Assisting project leads with project presentations

• Assisting project leads with space planning, furniture layout, and selection of materials and finishes

• Preparing and assisting with the hosting of client meetings and presentations

• Submit RFQs to vendors and collection of production information

• Assisting with on-site project installations and styling to achieve the desired aesthetic and functionality

• Maintaining and organizing project files and documentation, and material library

• Picking up and delivering materials, references, and other project items as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field

• 1-2 years of experience in design field

• Proficiency in design software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Strong design sensibility and understanding of color, space, and composition

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients

• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills

• A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for this position
