Co:Create is the curated marketplace of the worlds best tattoo artists. Co:Create makes it simple for clients to find the best artist for their tattoo based on style preference, placement, and budget.
Co:Create streamlines booking and coordinating with artists by removing lengthy email chains and Instagram DMs that go unread. In partnership with world-class advisors and tattoo artists, Co:Create hand selects the roster of top-tier artists to ensure clients can trust they will get a high quality tattoo.
We’ve raised a $25M seed round led by a16z crypto and have some the best founding artists in the Tattoo Industry.
The roleAs the Design Lead at Co:Create, you will drive the evolution of our design strategy and execution, with an initial focus on delivering a new brand identity into a cross-platform experience.
Reporting to the Chief Product officer, you will create innovative, user-centric designs that transform how tattoo artists and clients connect with each other.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to deliver a cohesive, user-friendly design across all platforms that delights our users and establishes Co:Create as the leading tattoo marketplace.
Through exceptional design leadership and hands-on expertise, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between tradition and technology, creating lasting value for artists and clients alike.
You’ll Get toElevate UX and UI design, by spearheading the development and implementation of a comprehensive design system that seamlessly translates across web, iOS, and Android platforms.
Ensure all designs maintain a balance between honoring tattoo traditions and leveraging cutting-edge technology.
Drive User-Centered Design Processes, by implementing and leading design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.
Design and execute user research strategies to inform product decisions and validate design concepts.
Implement and analyze user feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the product design.
Guide and collaborate cross-functionally, by collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing team to create compelling visual narratives and value propositions for different artist and client segments.
Identify opportunities for design innovation that set Co:Create apart from competitors in the tattoo marketplace.
Passion: A passion for tattoos.
Experience: 5+ years of designing with Figma across multiple platforms such as mobile, web, iOS, Android, etc.
UI Experience: Expert-level skills in visual design, layout, color theory, typography, and iconography.
UX Experience: Strong ability in all aspects of UX, including research, information architecture, and usability testing
Product Design: Proficient in problem definition, solution ideation, and feature prioritization; expertise in design systems
Design Thinking: Skilled in empathy mapping, journey mapping, and workshop facilitation
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
High quality bar: This role will be a tireless advocate for our artists' and client’s experience. You should be able to demonstrate how you've maintained design quality and accessibility across screen sizes, while shipping iteratively to deliver customer value early and often.

Universal app experience: You've designed excellent apps that function across web, Android and iOS with a single codebase.
Marketplace or start-up experience: You’ve worked at companies that have similar qualities to Co:Create.

Compensation Range: $180K - $205.8K
