We have an exciting opportunity in Poway, California for a Communications Payloads Program Manager who can operate in a very free-flowing atmosphere with the ability to create new business, products, and technology, and see that creation through to fielding. This position offers a chance to work on the cutting edge of remotely piloted vehicle payload and system development. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will direct all phases of the program from inception through completion, including responsibilities for cost, schedule, and technical performance for communications payloads development, test, and fielding on GA-ASI aircraft. Will be primarily responsible for executing both internal and customer-funded development and test efforts, both in laboratory and field settings. Knowledge of current DOD C4 systems capabilities and employment. Experience with flight testing and flight operations of C4 payloads on tactical aircraft. Experience with pod-based C4 systems. Job Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, science, or a related technical field, as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience, with at least five of those years managing programs. Equivalent experience may substitute for education. Previous experience developing/fielding DOD communications systems. Knowledge of operational employment considerations and principles for DOD C4 systems. Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience working with external customers. Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals related to communications payloads and waveforms (Link-16, SINCGARS, HAVEQUICK, MUOS, UFO, etc.). The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and demonstrated ability to hold a SAP/SAR clearance. Salary: $112,320 - $205,058 J-18808-Ljbffr
