Project Architect | Design-Driven Architecture Firm

An award-winning architecture firm known for their high-quality design is seeking a Project Architect for their homebase in Austin. The right candidate will have worked with and led teams through all phases of large commercial projects, including ground up high-rises, adaptive reuse structures, and small to medium developments.Responsibilities to include:Design of projects on a variety of scalesCoordinate with project teams including multiple consultant coordinationCollaboration on project teams on construction documents and specificationsPlay a key role in translating design concepts into construction documents for both interior and exterior systemsUnderstanding of all phases of the design process, with a focus on technical aspects of the architectural practiceQuality control and document reviewSkills and Education required:Demonstrated design skillsAppreciation and understanding for the design process and creative problem solvingKnowledge of architectural practice, including design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction technologiesProven record of executing technical aspects of high-end design projectsPositive attitude and experience leading teamsExperience with staff development preferredStrong verbal, written and graphic communication skillsStrong rendering and visualization skills preferred - ability to jump on rendered designs and touch up or finalize imagesAbility to multi-task & work on multiple projects concurrentlyProficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Google Suite4-8 years’ experience in design & construction documents of single family residential and commercial projectsBachelor’s Degree in Architecture
