Associate Director, Communications Planner:
We are seeking an
Associate Director, Communications
Planner to lead and inspire our communications/marketing strategy. In this position, you will act as the voice of the consumer, ensuring our efforts reach target consumers in the right way and with the right message. Never afraid to let numbers tell a story, the ideal candidate is excited by the new opportunities that data can help identify for marketing activity. They have their eyes set on the prize of a data-informed approach to creativity and are passionate about bringing the entire organization into this territory. They will utilize business, consumer, and category data to help identify and implement the most effective strategy.
Responsibilities:
Identify the most effective ways of reconciling business goals with consumer needs by connecting the right product to the right audience with the right message at the right time.Works cohesively with clients and partner agencies; has a strong strategic voice, functioning as an unquestioned leader to make all constituents feel like allies.Applies data-driven rigor and validation in developing the marketing strategies and messaging for product launches and campaigns.Conduct market sizing assessments, competitive analyses, and propensity modeling to identify target audiences that can best deliver business goals.Develops and fields research to determine natural positioning of the product in the market.Help define, support and validate consumer facing claims.Maintains a line of sight into and help advise on product and offer roadmap strategies in order to get ahead of an offer shift or strategy.Keeps a finger on the pulse of the real-time market dynamics and the influences of competition in order to better blunt the competition.Possess an acute understanding and ability to address most pressing client business issues.Utilize a strong command of communications planning/the role individual channels can play in bringing a campaign to life.Identifies cultural and competitive opportunities that cross platforms and marketing channels, working towards seamless consumer communication architecture for the brand.Be the steward and evangelist of target audience’s behaviors, need states, triggers and barriers to help implementation across media and creative strategy teams.Contribute to cross channel post campaign analyses and the implementation of learnings into following planning cycles.Collaborates with partners across disciplines/agencies to develop integrated/cross-channel campaignsHelps translate trends and data sets into actionable creative updates, giving creatives and cross-functioning teams the confidence in the data that they need to create and put the best work forward.Pushes the envelope with forward-looking, strategic thinking, leading the team and supporting the clients to get it done.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communications, or related field.Ability to use data and analysis to influence the creation of positionings and strategies.Act as the voice of the customer by bringing data into strategy and activation development.Demonstrate how integration across all platforms can transform the client’s business while also being able to defend all brand, digital and social work.Support the development of case studies to share learning across teams.Leverages behavioral data to strengthen strategic recommendations and provides powerful insights to creatives.Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe Creative Suite an added plus.Executes with a high degree of precision, ensuring attention to detail.
