POSITION SUMMARYThe Content Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting the creation of engaging and effective training content across online learning, virtual trainings, and in-person events. This position focuses on sourcing, coordinating, and managing content, working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to produce high-quality learning materials. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of content, maintain clear communication with SMEs, and help shape complex information into accessible and engaging learning experiences.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:Working effectively with SMEs, instructional designers, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive environment to develop training content with speed and accuracy.Consistently meeting production timelines, ensuring all course release dates are achieved, and delivering high-quality, impactful courses with each launch.

OBJECTIVESWork with instructional designers to understand course requirements and ensure content meets instructional goals.Organize and adapt SME-provided content into clear, accessible formats for instructional use.Perform quality checks to ensure content accuracy, alignment with learning objectives, and compliance with guidelines.Facilitate content review cycles, incorporating feedback from SMEs and instructional designers as needed.Maintain organized documentation and version control for all content assets.Coordinate and manage course development activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the production schedule and within the specified timelines.Provide regular updates on course development progress, address any content-related concerns, and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment and satisfaction.Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance content quality and engagement.

COMPETENCIESDemonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively bridging communication between SMEs and instructional designers.Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or training content creation, particularly for adult learners or business audiences.Comprehensive knowledge of organizational learning and development in support of business prioritiesProficient in developing training through a variety of delivery methods (instructor led, virtual, hands-on/experiential, computer-based training)Ability to evaluate programs regularly and recommend improvements based on learner feedback, performance metrics, and evolving business needs.Exhibits excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, maintaining timelines and ensuring timely content delivery.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field5+ years’ experience driving content development design, implementation, and management
