Summary/ObjectiveThe Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for executing all Green Country Habitat for Humanity internal and external marketing and communication projects in a timely and cost-effective. This position works in a team approach that collaborates with others on a wide range of design projects and tasks. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with well-developed critical thinking skills who can process, design, and apply brand standards for communication projects on time. As the Senior Designer, you will be crucial in crafting engaging visual experiences that resonate with our audience and elevate our brand over various platforms.
Essential Functions· Works with the Director of External Affairs, marketing staff, and internal clients to conceptualize various creative projects for conventional and electronic applications for design, layout, and production.· Develops creative assets for various marketing projects, including but not limited to website graphics, proposals, presentations, social media ads, email blasts, in-store signage, and environmental graphics.· Takes direction from the External Affairs Director while collaborating internally with different departments to conceptualize and execute creative design solutions that can be translated across multiple media platforms.· Maintains brand consistency throughout all marketing projects.· Takes ownership of design projects from concept to completion. Organize, manage, and share creative assets in the project management software.· Delivers price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within a budget.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications· Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, focusing on print, digital media, and environmental graphics. A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work is essential.· Technical Proficiency: Proficient in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Photography and video production skills are a plus.· Creativity and Innovation: Demonstrated ability to think creatively while pushing the boundaries of design to create fresh, visually engaging content.· A willingness to complete all the tasks in a project recognizing even the smallest task makes the project successful.· A genuine passion for contributing towards Habitat for Humanity’s mission. This passion should translate into your design work, creating compelling visual narratives.Collaborative Leadership: Works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, homeowner services, and development, to integrate design elements seamlessly into various projects.· Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail that ensures the highest design output quality and consistency in brand representation.· Adaptability: Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and move quickly to changing priorities and requirements.· Visual Content Creation: Leads the design process for a wide range of visual content, including but not limited to graphics, illustrations, social media assets, website elements, marketing materials, photography, and video.· Brand Identity: Ensures consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design projects.· Continually evolve and elevate our brand identity while maintaining a strong connection to our core values and mission.· User-Centric Design: Understands the needs and preferences of our audience to create user-centric designs that enhance user experience and engagement on our digital platforms.· Trend Analysis: Stays current with design trends and emerging technologies.
