As a founding member of our startup team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our communications strategy and advancing our mission. Collaborating closely with the Executive Director, you will identify and pursue high-impact communication opportunities that align with our values of imagination, connection, equity, trust, integrity, learning, and excellence.We seek a seasoned marketing and communications professional with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience and a proven record of success in building equity-centered communication programs. Your expertise will guide the timely translation of strategic goals into actionable work plans, the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs), and the planning and budgeting processes for our communications department.Key responsibilities include:Developing and managing a comprehensive communications strategy that supports our social impact initiatives.Exhibiting exceptional writing skills and the capacity to interface with external strategy firms.Staying informed about emerging cultural, social justice, political, technical, and communication trends.Encouraging cross-departmental collaboration and fostering a culture of problem-solving and innovation.Contributing to a workplace culture that emphasizes Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ).We value candidates who can create and nurture feedback loops to support a culture of excellence and achievement.
