A Freelance Social Media Strategist creates, manages, and implements strategic plans for various pharmaceutical and health care-related campaigns and Client projects on social media. This role requires a creative and strategic storyteller who has experience in healthcare communications, and who can critically evaluate brand plans to develop social strategies, drive social listening efforts, and develop insights related to performance analytics.
Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Continuous monitoring of social media postsConduct thorough audits of current social media practices and performanceDevelop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for Client projects and initiativesDrive social listening activities and efforts based on Client’s unique needs to develop thoughtful reports and analysesWork closely with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of social media initiatives, improving cross-functional collaborationCreate insights based on Client project metrics to evaluate the success of social media activities and guide future strategies and help define key performance indicatorsOversee and optimize paid social media campaigns across all social channels, and establish targeting profiles to ensure KPIs can be achievedQualifications:Must have proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role for healthcare advertising/medical communications agencyWell-versed in US Data Privacy laws within the healthcare field and have a strong knowledge of related restrictions and requirements around protected health information.Experience with Reddit AMA EventsIn-depth knowledge of social platforms including but not limited to: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTubeExperience collaborating with cross-agency teamsKnowledge of Content Management Systems, like Sprout, Hootsuite, Khouros, BrandwatchExperience using social media for business including META Business Suite, X for Business, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google adsSolid writing and editing skills in EnglishTime-management skillsAbility to guide and motivate team members3-4 years experience working in med comm, pharma advertising required
