We are working with an Oilfield client that is looking to add an Audio Video Technician II to their team.


Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Work Type: Onsite - Houston, TX 77032

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Duration: 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Setup and Support:

  • Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, displays, and video conferencing systems.
  • Provide technical support during meetings, events, and presentations to ensure optimal performance.

Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event requirements and provide recommendations for AV setups.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure all AV needs are met for company events, conferences, and presentations.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment promptly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure all AV systems are functioning correctly and perform repairs or replacements as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the quality of audio and visual output meets company standards and expectations.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of AV equipment to identify any issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain accurate records of AV inventory, configurations, and maintenance schedules.
  • Develop user guides and training materials to educate employees on the proper use of AV equipment and troubleshoot common issues independently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing systems.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours to support events and meetings as required.
  • Certification in audio-visual technology or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with Teams meeting rooms and Crestron equipment desired.
