Position Summary:
The Audio-Visual (AV) Technician I role is to support and maintain in-house audiovisual equipment and non-print media assets, including audio/lighting equipment for ilani's Meeting & Entertainment Center, as well as ilani house audiovisual in gaming areas, owned bars, restaurants, and retail outlets. This includes operating audio mixers and microphones, video switchers, projectors, and cameras, as well as computers with multi-media presentation software. As a Technician you will also hang and focus lighting fixtures, assemble and hang trussing and able to safely operate a scissor lift.

Position Summary:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides superior guest service.
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tlcn and the Core Values of ilani
- Operation of break-out room sets and exhibit floors, servicing end clients and presenters, ensuring smooth meeting flow, and assisting with break-out rooms, re-sets, and strikes.
- Support music productions up to and including operation of audio and/or video consoles, setting up truss, lighting, comms, monitors, image video systems, etc.
- Loading and unloading of trucks, setting up, and striking of equipment.
- Responsible for supporting house audio and video systems throughout the property.
- Assist in the setup, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment.
- Receive and respond to incoming requests in a timely manner regarding AV software/hardware problems, questions, and setup support.
- Assist in the on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of AV hardware/software problems.
- Document instances of AV equipment failure, repair, installation, and removal.
- Troubleshoot AV issues using the appropriate testing tools; make repairs, as necessary.
- This position is responsible for the strict adherence to the Information Technology department compliance policies, internal control procedures, Washington Gaming Control Board control specifications and the Casino's policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Audio Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience as an AV Technician OR High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD) and four (4) years of progressive Audiovisual experience.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Proficiency running audio, video, lighting equipment and consoles.
- Technical knowledge of multimedia presentation software.
- Technical knowledge of protocols such as DMX, Dante, and general networking skills.
- Hands-on AV equipment troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely.
- Self-motivated and directed, keen attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team with positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Requires weekend and shift work including some early mornings and late nights
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
- Ability to run an audio console similar to a Yamaha CL5
- Q-SYS Control and Dante certifications
