ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources.

World Relief seeks a full-time Communications Coordinator to join the US Fundraising Integration Team, serving all World Relief offices across the country. This is a chance to join a growing team as it advances several major strategic initiatives. This position will be an integral member of the US Office Fundraising Integration team, empowering, equipping and supporting our fundraising efforts.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Creates content for campaigns and appeals to accomplish donor engagement, retention and acquisition.
    • Plan, design, implement multi-channel direct-response fundraising appeals
    • Author and edit personalized funding proposals to churches, foundations and individuals.
    • Deliver tailored content to various audiences such as monthly donors, mid-level donors, lapsed donors, church donors, etc.
    • Design templates for online content that can be utilized by other employees.
    • Identify and apply best practices of direct response fundraising
    • Working closely with the World Relief Marketing team, serve as the primary point-of-contact for 3 to 4 major appeal campaigns per year.
    • Assist with tracking, reviewing, analyzing, and compiling reports on US Office fundraising campaign and appeal performance
    • Monitor the gift acknowledgement process across all field offices; performing gift acknowledgement activities when needed.
    • Ensure all donors are properly included and tagged in HubSpot audiences.
    • Manage and coordinate printed and mailed collateral pieces for US Offices, where appropriate (Newsletters, Impact Reports, Case For Support documents, etc.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Mature and personal Christian faith
    • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 1+ years of experience in marketing/communications.
    • Samples of copy used in email, social media, blog posts, print publications, or proposals.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize, follow through on multiple tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail
    • Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, and significant amounts of time on the phone or in virtual meetings required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Direct response and donor database (Blackbaud RENXT, Hubspot) experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
    • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.
    • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.
    • The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.


$55,000 - $62,500 an hour

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
