The Position

Social Media Content Creator

Chicago, IL (On-site)

Overview:

AKIRA is looking for a Content Creator to join our Marketing Team at our Chicago HQ! We’re looking for a creative individual passionate about fashion and storytelling to help increase brand awareness and engagement. In this role, you’ll develop unique, captivating content across social media (TikTok & IG) showcasing our unique products while connecting with our audience. If you have a keen eye for trends, excellent writing skills, and a knack for crafting engaging narratives, we want to see your portfolio.

Essential Functions:

• Editor & Content Creator for TikTok and IG
• Solely responsible for shopAKIRA.com’s TikTok & IG channels including but not limited to; creating, editing, and posting content while also monitoring and responding to messages and comments, fielding to appropriate teams when necessary
• Must be knowledgeable and up to date with TikTok/Reels trends, humor, and editing - take these current trends and create 15-60 second videos that will be posted across multiple social channels
• Collaborate with design, marketing, eCommerce, and sales teams to align calendar with all current business objectives
• Ability to occasionally host & entertain on IG or Tik Tok lives, engaging with customers in real-time
• Must ensure content is aligned with our brand voice, which is composed mostly of fashion, humor, and millennials/gen-z lifestyle
• Be capable of coordinating with influencers, models, and other types of talent
• Must hold yourself accountable and be able to meet strict deadlines
• Must live in Chicago as this is a full-time, in-office position

Qualifications:

• Must have previous professional experience using TikTok & IG
• Advanced Excel skills
• Outstanding organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and diligent task follow-through
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast - paced, dynamic environment
