The Associate Chief, Creative Services, is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive creative vision that aligns with Dallas College's brand identity and strategic goals. This role requires an innovative and seasoned professional with a strong leadership background, exceptional design and creative direction expertise, and a proven ability to guide creative teams to success. The Associate Chief, Creative Services, will oversee all creative output, ensuring cohesive brand representation and high-quality deliverables across various media.

  • Program Leadership: Experience in managing and leading creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and impactful results.

Physical Requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, marketing, advertising, or a related field; a Master's degree and experience in higher education are preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years at the Director/VP level, including five (5) years in executive management (reporting to VP level); experience as Chief Creative Officer or in a creative leadership role at an agency or in-house agency is preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
  • Proven track record of creating compelling, innovative campaigns across various media.
  • Proficiency in creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and knowledge of digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and personnel supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading people and managing performance; Expertise in recruiting, mentoring, and developing creative staff;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple projects.
  • Managed team of 20+ employees $5MM+
  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creative Services Leadership: Lead a team of 20 marketing professionals, overseeing client relationships and strategic marketing campaign development. Ensure high-quality deliverables, adherence to project timelines, and a collaborative, innovative environment.
  • People Management: This role requires a dynamic leader with strong people management skills who can inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing creative team. They will need to be able to foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability, ensuring that all creative outputs align with the company's strategic goals and enhance its brand identity.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and implement creative strategies aligned with Dallas College's brand and strategic goals, ensuring cohesive representation and alignment with institutional identity.
  • Conceptualization and Ideation: Lead brainstorming sessions, foster a culture of innovation, and generate impactful creative concepts that set Dallas College apart in the higher education space.
  • Brand Architecture: Enhance and evolve the Dallas College brand to resonate with target audiences, differentiate from competitors, and drive engagement.
  • Art Direction: Guide the visual representation of the brand across all creative projects, ensuring alignment with design principles and brand guidelines.
  • Creative Process: Oversee the end-to-end creative process, including ideation, development, execution, and refinement to produce compelling creative assets.
  • Project Management: Manage creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring objectives are met within time and budget constraints.
  • Quality Control: Review and approve all creative outputs, maintaining consistency with brand standards and client/campaign objectives.
  • Functional Development: Build and scale a world-class creative services department by instilling best practices, developing talent, and inspiring teams to achieve excellence.
  • Professional Development: Complete required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year and perform other duties as assigned.
