Associate Graphic Designer, Global Graphics & Knitwear
Job Summary
The Associate Graphic Designer for the Global Graphics & Knitwear team is a key contributor to the department and will bring a multi-faceted skill set to the team. This includes, but is not limited to, creating original artwork for apparel graphics, preparing graphics for production-ready format, updating art and making revisions, archiving assets appropriately, maintaining graphic archives and tools, contributing to assortment building, preparing materials for shareout, and doing market research related to trend.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working for a lifestyle brand or fashion brand, familiarity/experience with mass and mid-tier graphic apparel markets, strong technical acumen in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and a familiarity with Adobe InDesign, and MS Powerpoint. Candidate should have a good eye for detail, should be organized and able to follow direction. It is critical that this role is able to follow direction and be attentive to details. Strong visual presentation skills are important, as we are always focused on commerciality and presentation in all aspects and shareout tools for our department.
This role will assist the Art Director in all of the above capacities and should be able to work collaboratively and independently. This role should be a good communicator and able to articulate questions/needs in a positive, productive manner that benefits the team.
ResponsibilitiesCreate original artwork for apparel graphic vehicles (Tees, fleece, etc) for all Kontoor brands, all tiers/gendersMaintain graphic archives/server files and ensure all assets are updated and filed accordinglyAssist in assortment building, art revisions, cad updates and shareout tools for GTM milestones and SMU opportunities.Create camera ready artwork for production, have a solid understanding of screen printing process and basic garment constructionParticipate in market research for seasonal trend reportsAttend key meetings with cross functional partners as neededLeadership
This individual will be able to work independently and take ownership of projects assigned to them.Be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize workflow/timeHave a working knowledge / familiarity with servers, workflow, process and tools to help drive the businessRequirements
