Summer Camp Seasonal Content Specialist Job at Flying Horse Farms Seasonal Oppor

This is a seasonal opportunity that serves as an extension of the Communications team for the summer camp sessions. This role is responsible for daily content capture across all camp programming – including but not limited to photography, video, and sound bites from campers, volunteers, seasonal and full-time team. Additionally, this position acts as a real-time scribe, grabbing and preserving stories all season long to support year-round organizational messaging. Individuals will excel at making connections, building narratives, organizing content effectively, and providing a space for peers to relay camp magic moments.

Team Overview:

This role is connected to the Communications full-time team and provided the opportunity to integrate into bigger strategy. Getting unique exposure behind the scenes to FHF communications, best practices, and plan while applying learnings in real time.

Responsibilities:

• Attend Seasonal Staff Training (May 27 - June 4)
• Capture content in real time for daily use and future storytelling.
• Communicate with Full Time Program Staff to understand real time capture opportunities and storytelling possibilities each morning.
• Collaborate with program team to capture significant programming daily.
• Support fellow seasonal team as a resource and scribe in real time as story opportunities arise and happen.
• Download MarComm team daily on top stories/ magic moments.
• Oversee portal for caregiver updates in real time during sessions.
• Draft social content daily to share with Communications Manager.

• Passion for writing
• Eye for content capture
• Experience managing social media account
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage tasks and workload in a fast-paced environment
